Entirely origInal late 18th early 19th cent Pennsylvania kitchen cupboard. From Lancaster or Chester County. This is a single cabinet 32 inches wide and 64 and 1/4 inches high. The lower portion is 18 inches deep, with cabinet door 18 inches high and. 16 inches wide fastened with wooden latch with no interior shelf.
The upper section sits on an arch over the narrow counter top 19 1/2 inches from the floor. Inside the upper cabinet are four shelves. This section is 18 inches deep. The door is 35 1/4 inches high. Construction was made from old nails, not dovetailed, indicating that.This was a storage cabinet in a farmhouse. There is no indication that it had feet. Or has been lowered in height. The painted finish is especially beautiful unfortunately not adequately. While the paint is not flaking off, it is. Under layers of white and blue-gray pigment.
