A late 17th century Spanish armchair constructed from walnut. The chair retains its original leather seat and back, held by worn gilt brass lozenge shaped studs. The back of the chair has two finely carved scroll acanthus finials above two broad arms, which are supported by turned balusters that run through into square front legs, these are joined by a high and heavily carved stretcher with two shaped stretchers joining the front and back legs at either side. The chair has some old rips in the leather seat and some old wood worm damage commensurate with age. T&C'S - We are not liable for any costs incurred should a return be necessary.
