Antique Late Federal Jelly Cupboard. Period : Late Federal, circa 1830.
This late Federal jelly cupboard is a great piece. It's quite rare to find these pieces, as they're quite popular due to their utility and decorative versatility. This particular one is made of cherry wood with what looks to be birch supporting.
It has a three-quartered galleried back panel above two drawers over two cupboard doors, all flanked by turned pillars on turned legs. An all around great piece of history that can be yours today! Condition : The cupboard is in very good condition. There is some damage to the feet, which is common on these sorts of pieces, but it is very sturdy.
There is quite a bit of marring to front edge to the top. There are other stains and imperfections to the top. There is a loss to one of the back panels, but is harmless.
There are other minor scratches, dents, cracks, dings, and various surface imperfections that one would expect to find on a piece this age. There is a key and the cupboard lock works.
