Antique French Gilt Framed Mirror. Late 19th Century 1900

Antique French Gilt Framed Mirror. Late 19thC - 1900 or so. Acquired very recently in France, a rather simple, elegant & understated antique rectangular mirror, can be hung portrait or landscape.

The wood frame is substantial, it's actually a double thickness frame, see photos of the edge, the front is gilt, has minor loss of gilt gesso to edges in places but all is exepected with an authentic piece & very credible. The mirror plate is not foxed, so remains very usable. The original wood panel back remains, it is rough hewn in line with original carpentry techniques.
