Antique French Open Shelves & Footed Standing Cabinet. Up for sale is the antique French open shelves and footed standing cabinet with hand paintings on both sides and back in a Chinoiserie style, dated late 19.

The piece is ascribed as a product of the Aesthetic Movement. Totally, the footed cabinet in green color and with gold gilt decoration at the scalloped edges is divided into 4 layers, including the top layer as an open shelf. The cabinet is seated on a unique base with four feet. The nested shelves are gradually protruded starting from the top.

There are floral decorations around. The painting on the back depicts two male officials holding a sedan chair with a phoenix bird on the top, implying that inside the sedan chair is sitting a high-ranking female figure. Measures: Exterior, 25" high x 21 ½" wide x 14 ½ deep. 3 ¼ high top to 2. High (2nd to 3rd layer). 4 1/8 3rd to bottom layer. Condition: Good, heavy and sturdy, with wear and losses to some paint and to wood pieces, consistent with age and use; some fissures to the middle of one foot, not hurting the safety and beauty of the whole piece.
