Antique Heywood Brothers & Co Childs Wicker Rocking Chair, late 1800s
This is an antique Heywood Brothers wicker rocking chair for a child. The Heywood Brothers company dates back to the late 1800s when they merged with the Wakefield Company. This chair has part of the original label on the bottom, identifying this as chair 3308. This chair is 15.5 wide, by 19 deep, by 23.5 high. The chair has woven wicker sides and back. The seat is perforated wood. The chair comes with a handmade tie-on chair cushion.

Although it will need some minor repair work, this chair is very visually appealing. Most noteable, one wicker is broken running from the top left tier on the chair through the second tier, left to right. There is also one wicker broken on the third tier right, running right to left. There is some wrap missing from the bottom the front left leg, and a very little bit on the back, left leg.

The rocking chair wood runners are a bit scratched up from wear and age, as well as a few scratches on the back of the wood seat. As mentioned, the original label on the bottom is only partially intact.

The wicker may be cracked on the top right of the chair. Please see the photos for condition photos. Items are as shown in the pictures.
