Antique Late 1800's Pennsylvania German Chip Carved Poplar Framed Mirror

From a Lancaster County PA estate is this wonderful German chip carved mirror measuring 22" tall x 15.25" wide with in interior measurement of 16" x 10.25". The mirror might be a replacement, the back is covered with old cardboard. The poplar wood frame is expertly chip carved in traditional German geometric designs of the Pennsylvania German or Dutch descents. This has a lot of surface alligatoring from age and possible exposure to heat, in an attic or storage. It has no damage to the carving.

The lower seams where the bottom and side pieces meet is noticeable, but I believe this is original to the piece. You don't often find nice big mirrors like this, it's just lovely! Perfect for a powder room or an entry hall or any space needing a mirror.
