An amazing and impressive Antique late 18th Century Philadelphia Area Period Chippendale Step Back Dutch Cupboard, c. Great period details- fifteen pane upper case with scalloped pie shelf; fluted and reeded quarter columns with carved capitals on both cases; center fixed 3 pane glazed panel above, with center fixed raised panels on base cabinet; original ogee-bracket base, broad carved cornice, dovetailed case; H-hinges; repainted interior, triangular spoon slots and double plate grooves, with replaced drawer brasses.

Probably painted at one time, stripped and refinished generations ago. Old, hand cut square-nailed backboards are indicative of the late 1780s to 1800 date. Did I say this is an amazing piece? We are preparing to downsize and it likely won't fit in whatever place we end up in.
