French Empire style double bed c. Head, foot and sides in highly figured amboyna wood veneers on walnut ground. Inlaid with a splendid pair of Imperial eagles on the headboard. Inlaid satinwood stringing and rosewood borders with neat papyrus flower detail to the head and footboards. With a large gilded ormolu mount to the footboard.

Raised on short tapering square legs, veneered to match, with brass paw feet. To take a 60 x 74 mattress.

Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Dimensions: width 62, length 80, height 58. The item "Antique Late 19th.
