Antique Late 19th Century Mahogany Mirrored Corner China Display Case
This elegant curved glass and mahogany display case is done in an understated late Edwardian style, with its open gallery top flanked by beveled mirrors and a center molding applique, dark wood, demilune display shelves with their mirrored backs, and trefoil paw feet with casters. The shelves are all removable and the both inner sides of the case are mirrored from top to bottom. There are double grooves on each of the shelves and extends in both directions for displaying china. This is an American piece and was an middle tier mass market product (as mass market as they got around the turn of the century).
It does not have a maker's mark. The curved glass single door is equipped with a wooden knob and lock. There is also the original key. The wooden knob is a replacement as the original brass handle was damaged. All four feet (only three are paw) have casters.
The casters are original and move very well. This piece measures 71" high, 32 1/2" wide, and 20 deep. It weighs approximately 85 lbs. This piece is in overall good condition. There are signs of wear to the feet and casters and very slight silvering to the mirrors both inside and on the gallery.
