Our Stock # 18.7319. This is an antique lounge armchair. A French, textile and beech tub seat, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. Offers lasting antique elegance for the living room. Displaying a desirable aged patina - ready to be enjoyed as is or recovered to individual taste.

Quality silk cotton upholstery shows minimal signs of gentle wear commensurate with age. Solid beech frame offers a deep gilt finish with warm tones. Low back and high arms offers an inviting, relaxed profile. Deeply stuffed cushion with traditional feather filling and smaller lumbar cushion. Tall scrolled arms finished with pleated detail and piping. Subtle golden brocade trim adds further detail to the whole. Elegant lower rail with serpentine sash form and plume of feathers motif to centre. Raised upon a quartet of short cabriole legs with pronounced scrolled toes.
