Antique Original Georgian Slant Top Walnut Knee Hole Desk Circa Late 17th C. This is a beautiful handmade desk from the late 18th / early 19th century desk. This desk is from the georgian period.

It has a very thick slanted and hand planed walnut top. The grain of the wood is spectacular on this piece. All drawers slide and operate as expected.

The locksets are not original and are patented from the 1860s. These locksets are for decoration purposes only and do not come with a key. The desk has been refinished and shows great.

There are some small ink spills from previous owners, but the integrity of the piece holds strong. The piece comes with two addtional features. These features are the tabletop storage boxes with lids. These boxes were handmade and feature brass hinges. It is unknown whether these storage boxes are original or not.

The next feature is the center pen holster. The pen holster is a great add on that is very functional. Again, it is unknown whether the holster is original or not. Overall, the piece shows great and I would be proud to add this to my home collection. Please let me know if you have any questions!
