It was used to store sheet music. The finish is original and untreated, except for an occasional dusting, including the handpainted scene on the front.

There is some roughness to the finish, probably due to age. Working lock with included key. Measures 40" tall x 18" wide x 13.5 front to back. Five removable shelves inside (they slide out). I'm not sure of the type of wood, although the cabinet is rather heavy at least 30-40 lbs?

No labels or maker's marks. From my family's estate.

Four areas of note (all inside the cabinet): The front support directly underneath the top on the left side has come off, and is included. There is also an unstained area underneath the right side of the top where it looks like there was some kind of support. Neither one of these affect the appearance or use of the cabinet; the top is not loose at all. Third, the shelf support on the right hand side of the lowest shelf is missing the top half of the molding where the shelf slides into. The shelf itself is stable and can be used.

Lastly, there is a small chip on the upper right inside the door. From a non-smoking, pet-free, clean home. You're welcome to come by to see the cabinet in person, and I encourage this.
