Antique Victorian Walnut Table/Desk Top Document Cabinet. Up for sale is the Victorian style tabletop walnut cabinet box on bun feet, dated late 19. The cabinet box for document with twin brass handles features two-hinged doors and totally seven drawers, with the larger one located below. The interior also shows spaces at both the upper and central regions. Many dovetails in the construction are easily found everywhere, displaying a fine craftsmanship.

The four buns at the bottom are attached with pad cushions, showing the cabinet box's having been carefully used. No other marks are found. Horne's patent (1840) is for an improved method of preparing the strips or plates of iron or brass for hinges, so that the fibers of the metal shall be laid or placed crosswise of the joint, and for countersinking the screw-holes by means of cone dies.
