DESCRIPTION Antique 19th C wooden art sculpture of a Griffin. This beautifully elegant creature transcends cultures throughout history. It is quite large and formidable in its seated position. Unfortunately his wings have been clipped by time with only its remnants remaining. A sturdy and impressive piece of carving this is thought to have been an adornment in a large piece of furniture, but now its is an architectural piece which looks impressive the way it is still. This would make a great addition to any eclectic home decor, art collection or a great housewarming gift. MEASUREMENTS Sculpture measures 19" tall by 12.75" wide by 4.75 deep and weigh 8lb 1oz. CONDITION In good condition with wear and tear signs of use commensurate with age but his wings have been broken off (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
