It is the years of constant use revealed in every ding, gouge, deep crack, and scratch that enrich the character of this impressive carpenters' workbench from France. Unique to this console is the (newer) two shelves serving as a wine rack; simple decorative carving along the front and "BOURGOGNE" painted in black along the upper shelf.

The rough hewn top shows heavy wear, with rustic worn surface. In the photo of the top, notice the circular holes that served a purpose for the carpernter who originally used this workbench. Please examine the close up photos to appreciate the deep patina, joints and old hardware. It has one traditional long vice along the left leg.

This work table has been restored and waxed, it is strong, stable and ready to be used and enjoyed. We look forward to helping you find the perfect addition to your home or workspace. Thank you for visiting our online store!
