This is a gorgeous antique American transitional piece - that has elements of both American federal style and American empire style. It features two drawers with a square top, two drop leaves, and a square pedestal leading to a quadripartite base.

The leaves are supported by wooden pegs which pull out from the base. The boards have been hand planed and the drawers are dovetailed.

It measures about 30.5 inches tall and the top is 15 inches square. When extended, the top measures 38 inches wide, and each leaf is about 12 inches long. It has a couple of chips to the veneer on the base. There is normal wear from age and use to the finish.
