We are delighted to list this very special piece of furniture. It is a solid walnut Victorian vanity with a dolphin motif and beveled mirror once owned by Mrs. Her name was Mary Swift and she lived in Massachusetts from 1844 until she died in 1920.

Mary probably used this gorgeous piece from the 1870s all the way to her later years. Her husband Jacob served in the Union Army and.

Was a Captain in the "C" Company of the 44th Infantry, Mass. He died on July 29, 1875 in Boston. A framed photograph of the dapper soldier most likely had a prominent spot on this vanity. We've included a photo of the young man in the listing.

This stunning vanity has measurements of 58" x 45" x 24. The five drawers go on for days and provide 20 of storage space in each one. The cabriole legs sit on brass casters for easy transport. It weighs approximately 60 pounds. This piece is in good condition but does show some light signs of wear from age and use. Please consult all images and message with any questions.
