KOHN of Vienna BENTWOOD chairs. The father and son team, Jacob and Josef Kohn, started their factory in Austria in 1849.
They became the major competitors to Thonet. The Kohn's worked with JOSEPH HOFFMAN in the design of many of their line of furnishings. They became world famous and their chairs graced the homes of the gentry of 19th century Europe.The chairs, especially the seats, are in excellent condition considering the age of the pieces.
