Peg jointed throughout and with original drawer linings with rebated runners. 1680 and of most attractive small proportions and in very good original condition throughout.
The table designed to sit centrally in a room and finished on all four sides. Turned walnut knob handle appears original also.
Small old crack part way across top - very old movement and not going anywhere, evidence of old worm (treated and long since dead). Minor marks, bruises, small losses and restorations consistent with age and use. Very heavy and sturdy, a beautiful table made by a skilled hand in c. 1680 and peg jointed throughout. Guaranteed to light up any room and would work equally well with antique furnishings or modern interiors.
