Heywood Wakefield is best known for their MCM blond furniture, BUT, before those days Heywood Wakefield made totally unique Rattan and bamboo style furniture. Wakefiled started in 1897 and this was one of their earliest deigns. A Parlor Music Stand that would typically be in the Formal Parlor next to a piano or pump organ. The top area is a music rack which is adjustable on chains to hold sheet music or song books and there are three shelves below where more music could be stored OR it could be used as an etagere to display collectibles.
Most of these would up being painted white or green years later so you don't often see one with its original; finish.
