Late 18th Century Child's Antique Fruitwood Seat Settle Bench Couch
A wonderful late 18th Century English antique childs settle. With two supporting back rails chamfered into rear uprights supports. The front upright supports are decorated with ring turning, the left arm rest turned with similar decoration; the right arm rest of plank form. The legs are united by turned stretchers to three sides (front, back and left side) and a "D" shaped stretcher to the other (right-side). The seat is woven rush. Traces of old worm activity to the rear right upright but treated as a precautionary measure albeit long since gone. Width 37 1/2" x Back Height 33" x Depth 17" x Seat Height 14".
