A well made Chippendale chest with rectangular top with molded edge surmounting a case with four dovetailed drawers, each featuring replaced batwing brasses, original wide board back, all supported by a nicely carved bracket base. The chest has a New England origin, and dates to the late 18th century and is in very good condition, with minor surface scratches, shrinkage cracks, a few edge losses, polish residue, and wear commensurate with age and use.
