Offered for your review and consideration is this very substantial, heavy solid brass, 3-tiered, bas-relief, heavily etched, Victorian, antique hall stand or open curio shelf stand. It remains untouched and undisturbed and features heavily articulated shelf facia, as well as figurative busts of maidens adorning the tops of the ornate triple side posts, holding the entire stand sturdy and upright. Nearly every inch of this brass Victorian hall corner stand is embellished with ornate, deeply etched designs, which is not lazy or haphazardly realized but rather well accomplished, artistic, elegant and aristocratic. Clearly, this piece was from a well-heeled, patrician home and not from a country shack, made up of boards nailed together. This was a fancy home accessory intended for a well-appointed Victorian home of the period. Good to Very Good overall antique condition. With original, naturally aged brass patina and unpolished with a chemical cleaner or chemical, abrasive agent. The brass corner stand remains as it always was and as it was found in the estate, untouched and undisturbed.
