19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE VICTORIAN BLACK WALNUT MARBLE TOP PARLOR TABLE. Thank you for shopping with Bay Colony Antiques. We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. We aggressively pursue important antiques, decorative arts, and objects of interest for our most discerning clients.

With our highest compliments and honors Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this wonderful 19th century antique Victorian marble top walnut parlor table. The smoke colored natural veins are plentiful on the thumb molded marble top & create a nice visual effect. We handle a ton of Victorian furniture and found this table to be quite refreshing credited to it's graceful scale and delicate proportions.

The table is crafted from American Black Walnut with carvings encompassing the entire apron and wonderful cabochon carvings at the knees with a sweet heart shape design. Aside from being great for the Earth Walnut trees can produce nuts for consumption & eventually be harvested for timber after 100 years. A single full grown black walnut tree can fetch up to 20,000 - 40,000 dollars and even more if a rare grain is present.

During the Victorian period new advances in machinery led to easier means of furniture production. For the first time in American history a plethora of different designs for every occasion were available to more families of modest means. We note a small discoloration to the marble top and minor surface wear that can be easily seen in the photos.

This wear is absolutely consistent with a table of this age especially considering we believe this is it's original surface but we like to bring every minute detail to our customers attention as a part of our full disclosure policy. The table measures 42" wide x 28" deep x 30 1/2 tall. We are a wholly owned family business in our third decade of continuous operation.

We have a large inventory of fine antiques ranging from Early American, Federal, Chippendale, Empire, Centennial, Victorian, 20th Century custom mahogany, Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern antique furniture along with decorative arts from across the globe. All the items we offer to the general public are high quality estate pieces. We do not offer goods with significant flaws or defects.
