Late 19th Century Vintage Work Table Slab Wood Console Table With Trestle Base. It is the raw, natural wood top that one finds intriguing in this rustic console table. It originally served as a work table, resulting in the appealing worn dark patina of the wood top due to the deep gouges, scrapes, stains, gnarls and old cracks. One end is more rounded, showing the raw edge (seen in photos).

The trestle base included the original pegs which hold it firmly in place. This console table has been restored so it is strong/stable and was given a wax finish. There is a ruggedness to the top including a rounded indentation, likely from work done upon it years ago. Please enlarge photos to appreciate the appeal of the thick wood.
