This brass and iron bed is solid and quite heavy. The headboard is about 58" high from the floor to its top, and 54" wide. The spring unit is slightly less than 54" wide, and 75" long.
When the spring is placed in the bed, its height (without a mattress) is about 18 from the floor see the horizontal bar. Between the two vertical posts in the photo of the entire footboard.
I was only able to move the footboard section out in the open for photographing. However, I was able to take 4 photographs of the headboard, which show the framed spring part that goes with the bed behind the headboard. Note that one of the photos shows the headboard and footboard; because of the flash effect and the fact that the footboard was close to my camera, the ornate metal on the footboard appears to be (but is not) a different color than the same section on the headboard.
The design and pattern of the head and foot boards are the same, and, if anything, the headboard appears to be in better condition than the footboard. I do not have the mattress, so that is not included, but the rails that hold the spring are included, of course. Based on its appearance, I believe that this bed may have been lacquered prior to my acquisition, because it was never polished during the years we have owned it.
