Pair of High Back English Upholstered Fireside Chairs Circa Late 17th to Early 18th Century. Re conditioned and reupholstered in the early part of the 20th Century with Arts and Crafts needlepoint fabric. Great upholstery tack studs all all along the edges as shown. The legs of these chairs were altered probably at that time and shortened. They still work well flanking a fireside mantle, in an entryway or hallway, or as slipper chairs in a bedroom. Their simplicity make this pair work in a variety of room decor including Mission/Arts & Crafts. See photos for the really great details on these chairs.
