Pair Of Original Late Regency Carved Mahogany Framed Velour Tub Armchairs

Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this lovely pair of original late Regency tub armchairs with carved walnut frames and velour tufted upholstery. A very good looking and well made pair, these are parlour or gentlemans club tub chairs, ideal for reading, drinks with friends and so on. They seat beautifully, they really hug your lower back and your arms rest perfectly on the rails. The timber frame is ornate, nicely decorated and finished with the original castors, it is very decorative and looks amazing from every angle.

The upholstery is an almost mustard coloured velour, most likely upholstered in the 1920s-1940s when this colour and style was at its height. In terms of the condition we have checked and secured the frame, the wood has all been cleaned waxed and polished, the upholstery lightly cleaned as its in fine order. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
