Antique Secretary Desk with Hutch. Base Measures 41 in wide x 20 in Depth, 37 1/2 Tall.

Top Measurements 40 in Wide x 11 1/2 Depth x 43 3/4 Tall. Over all Measurements 41" w x 20" d x 81 T. We received this Secretary Desk and Hutch from my wife's parents, who have passed away. They received it from their parents. It's in good shape it seems for being 125 + years old.

On the top of desk portion is written a sorta genealogy of who in the family used and took possession. Of it, in the pictures it shows some of the dates it switched hands. The oldest one i can determine is 1887. One the top in black paint or stain is JC ZIMBRATO, MINN. Other than that we don't know who made it.

The drawers are tongue and groove and it seem to be good solid wood. The second drawer has worn through the drawer stops. I bet an easy fix if someone wanted to. The glass is in great shape and you can see the rolling imperfections in the glass, that was made from that time period.

It looks like at some point maybe in the 50's gram-pa installed metal shelf holders. And it looks like the. Inside of the shelf unit was painted, i'm guessing in the 50's also.
