My parents bought this in the late 70's in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. I think the designer is Juan Isabel because of his bedframe pictures looking nearly identical and the time frame matches up but I have no documentation of it. The bed could use some minor refurbishing. The two ball caps on the footboard don't stay on well but probably just need an easy nut or something like that. The center bolt on the footboard cross bar doesn't seem to have enough length to engage the cap but maybe it can be switched out.
This does not effect the strength of the bed. One of the headboard bolts that attached to the frame (also included) is missing. Could possibly be easily replaced. I'm 210 pounds and didn't notice it at all. Definitely needs a proper polish.
Besided that, it's great! The box spring came with a fabric cover which I'm happy to throw in if wanted. The marks on it are from rubbing against the bed frame, not stains.
Had a lacquer finish which has worn off.
