Vintage Campaign Style Dry Bar Flip Top by Drexel Attr to Accolade II Collection

Fabulous vintage Campaign style dry bar in a medium-dark veneer, possibly pecan, with a black dyed wood top, an interior black laminate flip top, and antiqued brass plated hardware and casters by Drexel. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are several small places where the veneer has been repaired and still a few scratches or nicks but nothing outstanding. The top has been refinished, dyed black, & given a coat of urethane. The freshly black dyed top flips open to reveal a beautiful black laminate surface perfect for serving cocktails, coffee, iced tea, or desserts. It has two drawers with lovely, antiqued brass plated U-shaped handles under the top. Below the drawers are two doors that look like four panels of bi-fold doors but in fact, there is a center groove that gives that appearance. We believe it is likely that this bar is part of the Accolade II Collection by Drexel as the doors are adorned with antiqued brass plated hardware on each panel that match other pieces of the Accolade II line. And there are fixed shelves behind the doors on both sides.

Great storage space for linens, extra glasses and bar accessories, cookbooks, or bottles of liquor and juices. Plenty of room for all your beverages and serving supplies.

It is a perfect way to offer your favorite cocktails. But if you prefer, you can load it with tea and desserts, coffee and donuts, or milk and cookies! Quite frankly its stunning just sitting there empty. It's by Drexel which you know is of high-quality, ensuring this piece to be of the finest materials and construction.

Finished all the way around so this cart will float nicely in any room you choose whether it is your dining room, living room, bedroom, or study. And, it has casters so it's easy to roll from one room to another!

It's Campaign in design style but with a classic look as well that would fit into any design style be it Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, or traditional! Sam Huffman, one of the initial founders, managed the enterprise until his death in 1935 when his son, Robert O. By 1950 under the younger Huffman's leadership Drexel had grown from a small factory to a leader in furniture manufacturing. They acquired other furniture companies along the way and by the late 1950s employed 2300 workers.

The 1960s had them adding industrial and hospitality furniture to their lines. Drexel closed its doors in 2020. A gorgeous flip top dry bar like this is just too fantastic to let go.
