This charming late 19th century French ladies desk is beautifully decorated with handcrafted inlaid decorations in a burl wood. The compact desk has a rectangular black leather insert writing surface in its hinged lid cover. Which, when open, reveals an area for papers etc. Two small drawers & a shelf. The decorative doors above the writing surface reveal an area with an adjustable shelf. The whole desk is positioned upon a stylish elevated stand on wheels. Somewhat hidden from casual view is a draw on the right side of the desk. This long, narrow drawer is meant to hold pens, pencils & notions. The top of the desk features an attached elegant brass gallery. This great decorative item is small enough to create a great room accent for the right home. 40 1/2" tall X 23v 1/2" wide X 20 1/4 deep. I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS INCONVENIENCE.
